C.S Osborne started making leather working hammers in the early 1800’s to service the vast saddlery trade at the time. A wide range of leather friendly products was required with traditional methods of manufacture applied.

Leather working hammers have softer edges than traditional hammers to avoid damaging the material, this is why materials such as raw hide became popular for using as hammer heads.
